Italy-Serbia game called off after fan violence (Photos, Video)

Serbian fans threw flares onto pitch, causing match to be abandoned before 10 minutes were played.

THE EURO 2012 QUALIFER game between Italy and Serbia has been called off after just seven minutes of play following fan violence.

The BBC reports that Serbian fans threw fireworks and flares onto the pitch.

The kick-off had already been delayed by 45 minutes after early clashes between Serbian fans and Italian police.
